ROPES is a literary journal produced annually by MA students at the University of Galway. We are currently working on the journal’s 34th edition! Our team is dedicated to showcasing a broad and inclusive range of work by providing a platform to exhibit literature and art. Our journal has been home to the work of bright, emerging creatives, as well as pieces from more established writers such as Mike McCormack, Colm Tóibín, and Nuala O’Connor. Each year, we produce an inspired collection in aid of our chosen charity. The beneficiary for issue 34 is the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, a volunteer based non-profit. The PCRF provides free medical care to thousands of injured and ill children yearly who lack local access to care within their local health care system. They provide food, clean water, baby formula, hygiene kits, winter clothing, and shelter to orphans, amputees, and displaced families. Learn more about PCRF's vital work here. To find out more about ROPES, submission guidelines, how to help out, and more, explore our ever-growing website and follow us across social media @ropeslitjournal.
