Ré Ó Laighléis

Ré Ó‘Laighléis was born in 1953 in Sallynoggin, Co. Dublin. He is a former primary, secondary and third-level teacher, have been full-time writer since 1992, writing teenage and adult fiction (novels and short stories) in both English and Irish, and has conducted workshops and reading in Ireland, Britain and North America and also provides training courses to students and educators in the field of creative writing. He has been writer in residence for NUIG and for Mayo County Council, and has been a participant in the Writers in Schools Scheme for seventeen years, working in primary and secondary schools, and colleges of education in Ireland and abroad.
