Originally from Tallaght, I was born in Dublin in 1969, a long, long time before the Square Shopping Centre was built. For years Tallaght did not have a bookshop so I relied on frequent visits to my local library, generous relatives/parents and Santa Claus to feed my book habit. My first writer-crush was Enid Blyton, I collected just about everything she wrote. I also loved comics and looked forward to buying the “Beano” every week. Dennis the Menace was a particular favourite.
