Mick O'Callaghan is a former teacher and keen volunteer. Mick is originally from Tralee in Co. Kerry, where he grew up involved with local organisations, playing in John B. Keane plays and boxing. He’s been living in Gorey with his wife Margaret for the last 35 years and started work on his recently launched memoir three years ago, after wanting to write one for many years.
Irish Interest in based on one very simple idea: to bring the contents of any Irish bookshop to people everywhere, especially those outside Ireland who do not have the possibility of keeping abreast of new books published in Ireland.
