Mary Reynolds

Date of Birth: 1 January 1970
Address: Wexford

Mary grew up on a small mixed farm in County Wexford. Twenty years ago she set up her own landscape-design agency in Dublin. A few years later, having lost her motivation from constantly creating modern gardens, she realised that she could no longer continue shaping land in the same modern way and re-envisaged her work as being nature rather than human-centred. Mary brought her new, still relatively unformed ideas to be showcased at the 2002 Chelsea flower show in London where she achieved a gold medal, which was quite unusual at the time for a first-time contribution. Since that time, she has built up a steady following in the world of garden and landscape design and is considered exceptional in her field of expertise. Mary has presented television programmes about garden design and garden refurbishment. She also gives talks and holds workshops about her work and beliefs. She’s trained as a Reiki master and likes to campaign against multinational corporate efforts to monopolise the market for pesticides, herbicides, and genetically modified organisms. She spends a lot of time growing and nurturing her own land.
