Marie Hackett was born in Burgundy and now lives in County Clare. She is a former Limerick Institute of Technology lecturer and former French Vice Consul in Ireland. She is now retired and acts as translator and writer. She was awarded the Chevalière de la Légion d’honneur in 2015.
Irish Interest in based on one very simple idea: to bring the contents of any Irish bookshop to people everywhere, especially those outside Ireland who do not have the possibility of keeping abreast of new books published in Ireland.
