Malachy lives on a tiny island off the coast of Donegal, with his wife Liz, Milo the nightcat, Juno the wavedog, and a load of ducks and chickens. His 90+ books, for young people of all ages, have been translated into 23 different languages and have won many prizes internationally. Malachy likes walking the beaches and mountains of Donegal, skimming stones in the sea, whistling, drinking Lapsang Souchong tea, making up stories, playing table tennis, going to traditional music sessions, laughing, reading and sleeping.
