John Lowe
John Lowe (1951 - 16.08.2026) was and authorised financial adviser with over 40 years' financial experience. He authored the best-selling Money Doctor series of personal finance handbooks. He was also a family man, musician, and golfer. Perhaps best known as a regular media contributor, writing columns for the Irish Daily Star, the Business Post and the Irish Daily Mail, among others, his articles were published on the RTÉ website, and he made regular appearances on national and local radio programmes. He was a qualified financial adviser and member of the Institute of Bankers. In the late 1990s, he set up Providence Finance Services, his advisory firm, which went on to trade as Money Doctors.
