Dr John Francis Fleetwood (02.06.1950-08.12.2020) was a general practitioner from Blackrock, Co Dublin. He completed his undergraduate medical training at University College Dublin and St Vincent’s Hospital. His book, In Stitches, recounts his undergraduate years as trainee doctor. His father, also named John and a general practitioner, authored The History of Medicine in Ireland.
