John Hewitt is a lifelong aviation enthusiast who has worked as an engineer with British Airways for more than thirty years. He has been involved in the mapping of Second World War crash sites in Northern Ireland and spent forty years of his life interviewing RAF Fighter Pilots and Bomber Aircrew from all over Ireland. He is originally from Portadown and now lives in Islandmagee, County Antrim. He is the author of 'Ireland's Aviator Heroes of World War II: Vol. I'.
