John Burke is a retired primary school teacher and was Teaching Principal of Passage East National School from 1980 to 2009. He has always been interested in environmental studies, local history and exploring Ireland. He is currently Chairperson of Waterford Teachers.
Irish Interest in based on one very simple idea: to bring the contents of any Irish bookshop to people everywhere, especially those outside Ireland who do not have the possibility of keeping abreast of new books published in Ireland.
