Waterford News & Star photographer Joe Evans is among the most well-known people in Waterford. His passion for Waterford is clear through his life’s work, which has been to record and preserve our city and county’s history. As well as capturing everyday life in Waterford, Joe has also been on a mission for the past five years to highlight the past. This year, he is publishing his fifth collection of reprinted photographs in Colourful Memories of Waterford Vol. 2. His signature style is, as it always has been, everyday people and a clear love of Waterford.

Irish Interest in based on one very simple idea: to bring the contents of any Irish bookshop to people everywhere, especially those outside Ireland who do not have the possibility of keeping abreast of new books published in Ireland.
