Jimmy Muldarry (1919 – 2004) was a native of Mullingar. During his lifetime, he twice attempted without success to have his remarkable homespun memories of earlier times in the town published. However, it would take a further two decades before his fellow Cabbage Street [now Patrick Street] native, Tony Lyons, to fulfil his wishes.
