Helen Soraghan Dwyer is a writer and broadcaster based in Dublin. She has published three collections of poetry and her work has been published in several countries and translated into many languages. Helen has read her work at poetry festivals and in universities across Europe and in India. She has long been involved in the literary scene in Dublin and has served three terms as chairperson of the Irish Writer’s Union. She was also a member on the board of the Irish Copyright Licensing Agency and the Irish Writers’ Centre. Helen regularly takes part in the peaceful protest outside the Russian Embassy, Rathgar, Dublin against the war in Ukraine, and has read her anti-war poems at cultural events held outside the embassy. She co-edited We Stand with Ukraine (Mercier). Helen loves to travel especially to Italy and India. She is studying Italian and enjoys painting in oils. Source: Commons.
