Guy Woodward

Dr. Woodward studied English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford before completing an M. Phil. in Anglo Irish Literature at Trinity College Dublin, where he was subsequently awarded a Ph.D. for his thesis on the effects of the Second World War on literature and culture in Northern Ireland. He was awarded an Irish Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship for 2012-13 and has since lectured at Trinity and in Mexico.He is the author of Culture, Northern Ireland, and the Second World War (OUP, 2015) and co-editor, with Dorothea Depner, of Irish Culture and Wartime Europe, 1938-48 (Four Courts Press, 2015). He also edited Across the Boundaries: Talking About Thomas Kilroy (Carysfort Press, 2014) and has published essays on John Hewitt and Brian Moore. He has contributed to the British Council’s Contemporary Writers website and to the Oxford University Press Oxford Bibliographies project.
