Geoffery Bell
Dr Geoffrey Bell was born in Belfast in 1947. As a young man he was active in Civil Rights movmement in Belfast and Derry. He went to Magee College, Derry and Trinity College Dublin, where he graduated with an Honours Degree in History and Political Science. He later moved to London where, apart from writing books, he followed a career in journalism and local government. He was an active trade unionist and remains a socialist and community activist. He became a Doctor of Philosphy from the University of Leeds in1985
