Eva Pau is presenter of Asian Kitchen on RTÉ One and part of the family behind Ireland’s largest Asian supermarket, Asia Market. She grew up in the heart of Asia Market in Dublin, surrounded by sacks of rice, shelves filled with sauces, and ingredients from every corner of Asia. For Eva, food was never simply about what was on the plate. It was family, culture, connection, and a way of bringing people together. Her parents opened Asia Market in Dublin in the late eighties, and that little shop became her entire world. While other kids had playgrounds, Eva had aisles packed with ingredients most Irish people had never heard of. She learned about food by stacking shelves, helping customers, and watching her mother cook without ever measuring a single thing. Now, Eva is on a mission to make Asian cooking feel as approachable and exciting as it should be. Whether one is shopping in her parent's store, watching Eva on TV, or cooking from her recipes, Eva wants to show you that Asian ingredients aren’t intimidating.
