Domhnall O’Donoghye is from Navan, Co. Meath. He is a graduate of the Bachelor in Acting Studies Programme at Trinity College Dublin, and completed a Master’s in Screenwriting at Dún Laoghaire IADT. He now works as a journalist, author and actor. In 2016, Tirgearr Publishing released Domhnall’s first novel, Sister Agatha: The World’s Oldest Serial Killer. Pink Spear, an American, Emmy-winning production company, purchased the TV and film rights. Domhnall’s second novel, Colin and the Concubine, and his third novel, Crazy for You, were published by Mercier Press. Domhnall held the position of Assistant Editor at Irish Tatler Man for a four-year period. The Irish Times, The Irish Independent and The Irish Examiner, amongst others, have published Domhnall’s work. He writes a monthly column for Woman’s Way and is a features writer for Ireland of the Welcomes, the world’s largest Irish-interest magazine. Domhnall has developed screenwriting projects with production companies such as Blinder, The Comedy Unit, Screentime Shinawil, Tyrone and Firebrand. He co-wrote the IFB-funded short, A Clown’s Requiem, which premièred at the Galway Film Fleadh. As an actor, Domhnall appeared as Pádraig in TG4’s award-winning series Ros na Rún for nine seasons. He made his presenting début alongside Jennifer Zamparelli, filming a pilot for a game show.
