Diarmuid Ó Drisceoil is a former teacher with a background in archaeology and history. He has written widely on early Irish cooking practices and co-wrote The Murphy's Story: The History of Lady's Well Brewery, Cork (1997). They co-wrote Serving a City – The Story of the Cork's English Marketand Fifty Years Have Flown – The History of Cork Airport.
