Des Lee (born John Desmond McAlea in 1946) is a Belfast-born musician and survivor of the 1975 Miami Showband massacre, where three bandmates were murdered by loyalist paramilitaries. As a saxophonist, he fronted the band after the attack before later moving to South Africa. He has recently released a memoir and continues to advocate for truth regarding the atrocity.
