He has more than twenty years of climbing experience where he has focused mainly on exploring and developing new bouldering techniques and areas across Ireland. From the start of his climbing career, he retained notes and created topographical maps of his discoveries. This led to the launch of the website, theshortspan.com. In 2013, he formed Three Rock Books, which has published several titles specialising in rock climbing.
