Bridget Walsh

Bridget Walsh is a proud member of the Irish Diaspora who lives in England. 'Daughters of the Famine Road' is her first novel, and part of a trilogy. She wrote this novel because she wanted to tell the story of ordinary women’s struggles to survive during the harsh Famine Years in nineteenth-century Ireland. She self-published the book on Amazon, and the ebook is exclusive to KU readers. 'Daughters in Exile', the second novel was published in October 2022 and the third story, 'Daughter of Éireann' was published in June 2023. Bridget has published the fourth novel, and the trilogy is now a series! The Irish American Girl, a granddaughter of one of the protagonists in the previous novels, is set in 1914, New York, Ireland and on the Western Front during the First World War. In 2025, she also self-published a book of poetry about Ireland and other things.
