Brian Kirk is an award winning poet and short story writer from Dublin. He was shortlisted for Hennessy New Irish Writer Awards for fiction in 2008 and 2011. His maternal Grandfather was a member of the Royal Irish Constabulary (RIC) while his Grand Aunt was quartermaster for Cumann na mBan during 1916.
