Through tales that are sometimes humorous, sometimes poignant, sometimes heart-breaking, but always true, Time to Talk follows in the tradition of the great Kerry storytellers, capturing the real heartbeat of rural Ireland.
When Irish politician Michael Healy-Rae speaks about the biggest regret of his life - he didn't have time to talk when somebody needed him most - he vowed never to stop talking and listening, and really hearing what people were trying to say. And so his first book - neither a manifesto nor a memoir - celebrates the power of talk to forge real human connection and sustain us. Through tales that are sometimes humorous, sometimes poignant, sometimes heart-breaking, but always true, Time to Talk follows in the tradition of the great Kerry storytellers, capturing the real heartbeat of rural Ireland.
