Paul Clements is a journalist, writer and broadcaster. A former BBC assistant news editor, he is now a freelance writer with an extensive portfolio of published books and articles. His most recent book, a biography of the travel writer, actor and singer Richard Hayward, was published by Lilliput Press in 2014. Romancing Ireland: Richard Hayward, 1892-1964 retrieves the legacy of one of Ireland's best loved cultural figures from the mid-twentieth century. Paul is the author of three travel books on Ireland. Burren Country, Travels through an Irish limestone landscape, was published by the Collins Press in 2011 while The Height of Nonsense (Collins Press, 2005) is about the cultural history of Ireland's mountains. Irish Shores: A Journey Round the Rim of Ireland (Greystone Press, 1993), tells the story of a hitchhike around the Irish coastline.
