Emily Hourican


Emily Hourican is a journalist, editor and author based in Dublin. She grew up in Brussels, where she went to the European School and became fluent in being a Eurobrat. Luckily the decision to move back to Ireland put solid ground under her feet again. She studied English and History at UCD, then did a Masters in English Literature, also at UCD. She was editor of the Dubliner magazine for four years and has edited and written for a variety of publications since, including Image magazine, Woman and Home, Conde Nast Traveller, Hospitality Ireland and Time Out. These days, she edits Hospitality Ireland magazine and writes for the Sunday Independent, Ireland's biggest-selling newspaper.
