Con Houlihan


Con was born, as he put it himself, in the hill country above Castle Island on the 6th of December 1925, in a blizzard. After working as a teacher he began writing as a journalist producing a column three times a week for the Evening Press. Now he writes for a variety of publications, including the Sunday World and Magill Magazine. Aged 86, Con passed away on 4 August 2012.
